HRD Motorcycle Company nació en 1924,en manos del brillante y visionario oficial de vuelo de la RAF,Howard Raymond Davies (1895-1973)
Después de la I guerra mundial,Howard R.Davies(iniciales «HRD») fundó HRD,empezando a construir motocicletas con propulsores de J.A. Prestwich company,La famosa JAP 1000 cc V-TWIN engines,que también fueron usados por la famosa Brough Superior.Los diseños de HRD se adelantaron a su tiempo,usando nuevos standards que el resto de la industria de la motocicleta emularía en la siguiente década.
En 1925 el equipo de HRD,batió el record de velocidad media 66,13 mph.En una prueba del isla de man TT.Introduciendo a HRD en los libros de historia.
PHIL VINCENT & HRD
Otro visionario llamado Philip Vincent(1908-1979) Empezó la reconstruccion de HRD desde mediados de los años 20,en 1928 después de terminar los estudios de injenieneria en king’s college de cambridge,Phil Vincent decidió comprar HRD Company,estando esta en graves problemas financieros.Dando pie a la recien nacida Vincent HRD company ltd. En Sterenage Hertfordshire,England.
En los próximos años Vincent obtuvo la patente para su innovadora suspensión-trasera CANTILEVER,diseñada en 1928.Siendo usada todavía en nuestros días.
Entre 1928 y 1934 sobre Veinte modelos fueron producidos por Vincent HRD,cuatro de ellos usaron el mismo propulsor monocilindrico de 499cc aparecido en los inicios de Vincent,el nuevo logo de Vincent HRD tiene las letras de Vincent en pequeño debajo de HRD siendo estas de mayor tamaño.
VINCENT BLACK SHADOW,BLACK LIGHTING AND RAPIDE.
En 1948 HRD Vincent introdujo la ahora-legendaria Black Shadow,obteniendo la reputación de una maquina formidable,rompiendo todos los records de velocidad absoluta de 150,313 mph,en el lago salado de bonneville,siendo la primera motocicleta en sobrepasar las 150 mph.Siendo conocida hoy en día como la primera superbike de la historia.

Confuse… What I know is they usually very strict on spices. My friend’s experience – the officer took out the spices (epalcisley curry/ chili flovour) from the instant noodles he brought in.
